Connecticut Market Report 5/6/2020
When will CT Re-Open?
We're still being told that they need more information before they release concrete reopening plans for our state. A target date for a phased reopening is said to be May 20, the earliest.
With real estate sales down and inventory low, you would think I would be slow right now, but the market is picking up and scheduled to peak in June. I had a closing a few days ago, another under contract this week and scheduled to close end of the month.
Businesses opening with restrictions will help everyone feel better about this new normal way of life. *Wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing measures will still be required.
State Reopening Tracker by Color:
Green: Green means go, with extreme caution. Governments have allowed many nonessential businesses to reopen (with heavy restrictions) in these states.
Yellow: Restrictions will start to ease in the next week or two.
Blue: Broader re-openings have a slightly longer timeline than the yellow states, but there's movement and already some easing of lock downs.
Gray: These states are still watching, waiting before putting more aggressive opening plans into place.
Thank you for your time today
I look forward to working with you in the future...
