New Home Brings New Career
Being a Real Estate Agent was not my dream as a little girl growing up. At the age of 11 after watching the movie The Wedding Planner, all I wanted to do when I grew up was help brides plan their wedding day. When Senior year of high school arrived, I was determined to get into The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles and graduate with a Visual Communications Degree. Through FIDM I worked weddings, celebrity gifting events, and fashion shows, with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week being the highlight of it all. With wedding planning still as my passion, I decided to move to a top destination wedding spot, Oahu Hawaii.
There truly is no place like Hawaii, especially to have a wedding. My time with wedding planning didn't last as long as I thought it would. After months of working weddings and events, I saw a fashion retailer was looking for a Visual Merchandiser in Waikiki. I fell in love with visual merchandising and ended up working for the company for 6 years.
Buying my first house with my husband in Connecticut is what ignited my interest in real estate. I was using my design and coordination skills in the process and transaction of our home. My experience and knowledge in marketing, sales, and customer service with a background in event planning has been a benefit and value for my clients. Meeting new people and helping them find the right house to call home is now my passion.
